How to boost your immunity with Vitamin D

In the current climate with the Corona Virus I thought I would give Vitamin D a mention. It is a vitamin that will strengthen your immunity and your neuromuscular system. The greatest source of this is in abundance and it is from sunlight. Don’t worry about putting on your SPF to go outside this time of year, unless of course you have an allergy to UV light. Make sure every day you get outside to absorb light for at least 20 minutes and absorb nature’s sunshine. Do not stay out all day as an overload of UVA/UVB rays can cause us premature ageing and skin cancer.

Vitamin D has many other benefits if you suffer from any of the following:

  • Psoriasis or atopic dermatitis
  • Sickness and tiredness
  • Bone and back pain
  • Depression
  • Wounds that take a long time to heal
  • Hair loss or muscle pain

LED light, which I call happy healing light is also a natural source of producing vitamin D. Besides also helping to strengthen your immunity the light energises us by producing serotonin. Therefore, to sum it up I would actively encourage everyone to go outside for a walk in your garden or if you don’t have one go around the block obviously adhering to the government guidelines of social distancing.
