What is LED?

Light Emitting Diodes are not a new invention, LEDs have has 40 years of research for uses in wound healing, inflammatory skin conditions and pain control. LED is looked upon as a leader in anti-ageing skin treatments. The LED output is absorbed into the skin and causes a positive reaction within the cells.

As we age cellular energy depletes, cell turnover slows down and the skin no longer repairs itself as efficiently as it once did. LED has the ability to regulate this, resulting in cellular regeneration, replacing old and damaged skin cells with new healthy ones; this is why it speeds wound healing.

We use it to stimulate collagen synthesis which allows deeper penetration of active ingredients thus enhancing any skin treatment. LED has successfully treated acne, scar tissue, rosacea, pigmentation and improved general skin health.

What should I expect?

Your skin will look even and rested, just as if you have had a good holiday. For rosacea skin conditions, LED will reduce the inflammation and strengthen the skin. For acne skin conditions, it will reduce redness and improve the quality of the skin. Scars will diminish and you will notice fewer spots.

How many sessions will I need?

If you want to see a change in your skin, I advise 10 weekly treatments combined with a monthly skin treatment.

HOW IT WORKS

We often associate exposure to light with negative effects such as skin ageing and photo- damage, but light also has many positive influences on our bodies.

It helps us to produce vitamin D, provides energy, encourages cell growth and can rejuvenate collagen in your skin. The spectrum of light is divided into those that you can see, such as red and blue light, and those you can’t, such as UV and near-infrared. The difference between the positive and negative effects of light are the amounts and the parts of that spectrum to which you are exposed.

Different types of light stimulate different responses, so while ongoing exposure to UV is very damaging, controlled levels of specific wavelengths of near-infrared, blue and red light are clinically proven to be beneficial in rejuvenating skin and resolving problem skin conditions.

ENERGISE revitalises and regenerates skin for a more youthful complexion

RESOLVE treats problem skin conditions such as spot prone skin and redness

RECOVER accelerates healing and reduces discomfort after aesthetic procedures

Light therapy increases cell regeneration up to 5 times faster than normal, speeding up recovery time. Skin research concluded that frequencies of light could actually cause new cell growth.

For your skin this translates into sometimes dramatic improvement of the obvious signs of ageing, taking years off your skin and preventing future damage occurring.

The results are visible with the increased elasticity and firmness of your skin.
