I trained at Champney’s college of Health and Beauty as a beauty therapist. I graduated in 1994 with the highest international diploma, CIDESCO, which is recognised throughout most of Europe.
During my time as a Skin and Beauty Therapist I have had a constant desire to expand my knowledge and understand why skin problems occur. I enrolled on a 3 year course to study Naturopathy. As a result, my treatments are holistic and I prefer to look at the whole picture using an alternative approach to diagnosis. I find a holistic approach useful in treating external skin conditions which can often be a reflection of internal health problems.
I have also taught mature students at Champney’s, concentrating on the histology of the skin and most importantly how to become a competent skin care therapist.
In 2009 I took over a Health and Beauty business in Hertfordshire and managed to successfully develop it before selling it on four years later.
I constantly look for the most advanced and proven ways to improve the skin. I often attend symposiums on skin care in order to update my skills and learn about new innovations in skin physiology and cosmetic chemistry.
